The weekend of October 11th & 12th was the retreat for the Leadership Douglas County
program. The retreat took place at the Inverness Hotel and Golf Club where the
participants enjoyed good food, a good atmosphere and great information.
BreakThroughs, Inc. facilitated the day and half retreat where different exercises were
used to enhance their team building skills.
Friday morning started off with an introduction of BreakThroughs and their goals for the
weekend. The program began with exercises in Building High Performance Teams,
Problem Solving Simulation and an outdoor team building exercise. Saturday was a half
day program on BreakThroughs in Attitudes. Saturday’s session focused on how our
attitudes keep us productive in our personal life and in the work environment. The retreat
was successful in brining together the class participants as a functioning team.
The retreat was not all about serious learning, but also about fun. The class had fun with
different exercises such as the Sub-Antarctic survival test, outdoor exercise and the
comedy night at Fiore’s Restaurant featuring Comedy Works. The weekend was tiring,
educational and above all fun for the class.
BreakThroughs, Inc. once again facilitated a successful weekend for the Leadership
Douglas County program. A big THANK YOU goes to them for their time and
commitment to Leadership Douglas County. BreakThroughs, Inc. will be facilitating
BreakThroughs in Attitudes on Friday, November 15th as a fundraiser for the Leadership
Douglas County program. For more information to be a participant please call the Castle
